track by J Boogie – Blue Mountain Dub feat Jazz Mafia This mix was recorded LIVE at The Red Door in Portsmouth NH on January 14, 2012. Once a month we host an exploration of hip hop freeform session called Freestyle Elements. The setup is generally 2 MCs & 1 DJ. The MCs are bcap (Brian Capobianchi) & Face of Fate (Patrick Joyce). The DJ is OB (Ryan Obermiller). This particular mix features just bcap & OB. The format of our mixes is mostly freeform. We generally just show up and hit it - in whatever fashion or order we see fit. Or however the crowd and vibe decides. Some verses & hooks are pre-written BUT some of what you're hearing is NOT. We try to keep fresh by sitting somewhere around the 50/50 line - THAT'S 50% IMPROV / 50% REHEARSED. I use an RC-30 Loop Station for looping vocals live. The vocals are original / The beats are other people's Thanks for listening. -bcap Brian Capobianchi for more info and lyrics visit bcap.bandcamp.com photo by Jake Clifford : j-clifford.com Recording live Spit improvisational Open minded One fight for unity's fight for finding A place where we speak what we have, this is Understanding a rhythm of all this math, this is Conscious communication with our inner spirit, this is Vibrations if you hear it, this is Knowledge that comes from ages past, this is Hoping that we still have the gas, this is Knowing the throttle when it pushes through the world this is the type of thing we ought to be, this is Knowledge of where we came from, this is Harnessing what we're made of, this is Dreaming this bigger dream, this is Believing in what we need, this is Breathing the breathe, this is Finding what's left, this is Hoping we've got enough respect for us to rest, this is Sunday mornings and taking days off, this is Taking whatever it is at whatever the cost, this is Freedom in the mind, the rhythm, this is fine, what we see, we get in em, incision cut deep so we find what we need, this is what we be, this is Hoping we've got plans enough to make it, this is Knowing that we got strength and we don't have to fake it, this is Believing in our social community, this is Us trying to find the roots that grow up to this beautiful tree, this is Houses built on ledges, tops of mountains, this is People traveling oceans, standing under fountains, this is Water changing earth, this is earth changing people, this is Animal instinct, this is what we need this evil, this is gone Break it down Put it down where it belongs, this is Good rising above, this is what we need, this dub is free From forms, free from introspection, this is free from all the mind's directions that don't find inflection, this is Where we stand in the moment, what we ask for, this is peace in our forgiveness, this is knowing that we have to Move forward with our lives This is understanding fine This is knowing this dream This is being hell of alive This is breathing incredible vibes, this is Seething to find This is me trying to open the mind to see this is where we're live This is direct in front of the sound This is the board This is the cord This is the microphone This is the lord This is defining things explored This is the sword This is the knife This is the gun This is the fight This is the peace This is the hands praying for something better than what we see, this is The peaceful protest to the movement, this is The percentage of people who go through it, this is Finding people just like you who know the knowledge, people just like you who found that shit Holler it, speak it loud Get it out to see this crowd is growing bigger stronger day by day, now by now and hour by hour Minute by minute this is what we do to get in it This is speaking This is not diminished This is not me I am not finished, this is Just the beginning of another sentence, a sentence This is my sentence My jail broken moment where I speak repentance, this is Eyelids moving in rapid movement eyes moving as I sleep through fluid acoustics, this is Understanding where we've come from, this is Knowing there's not much for us to run from, this is The Warmup Section...

Recording live
Spit improvisational
Open minded
One fight for unity's fight for finding
A place where we speak what we have, this is
Understanding a rhythm of all this math, this is
Conscious communication with our inner spirit, this is
Vibrations if you hear it, this is
Knowledge that comes from ages past, this is
Hoping that we still have the gas, this is
Knowing the throttle when it pushes through the world this is the type of thing we ought to be, this is
Knowledge of where we came from, this is
Harnessing what we're made of, this is
Dreaming this bigger dream, this is
Believing in what we need, this is
Breathing the breathe, this is
Finding what's left, this is
Hoping we've got enough respect for us to rest, this is
Sunday mornings and taking days off, this is
Taking whatever it is at whatever the cost, this is
Freedom in the mind, the rhythm, this is fine, what we see, we get in em, incision cut deep so we find what we need, this is what we be, this is
Hoping we've got plans enough to make it, this is
Knowing that we got strength and we don't have to fake it, this is
Believing in our social community, this is
Us trying to find the roots that grow up to this beautiful tree, this is
Houses built on ledges, tops of mountains, this is
People traveling oceans, standing under fountains, this is
Water changing earth, this is earth changing people, this is
Animal instinct, this is what we need this evil, this is gone
Break it down
Put it down where it belongs, this is
Good rising above, this is what we need, this dub is free
From forms, free from introspection, this is free from all the mind's directions that don't find inflection, this is
Where we stand in the moment, what we ask for, this is peace in our forgiveness, this is knowing that we have to
Move forward with our lives
This is understanding fine
This is knowing this dream
This is being hell of alive
This is breathing incredible vibes, this is
Seething to find
This is me trying to open the mind to see this is where we're live
This is direct in front of the sound
This is the board
This is the cord
This is the microphone
This is the lord
This is defining things explored
This is the sword
This is the knife
This is the gun
This is the fight
This is the peace
This is the hands praying for something better than what we see, this is
The peaceful protest to the movement, this is
The percentage of people who go through it, this is
Finding people just like you who know the knowledge, people just like you who found that shit
Holler it, speak it loud
Get it out to see this crowd is growing bigger stronger day by day, now by now and hour by hour
Minute by minute this is what we do to get in it
This is speaking
This is not diminished
This is not me I am not finished, this is
Just the beginning of another sentence, a sentence
This is my sentence
My jail broken moment where I speak repentance, this is
Eyelids moving in rapid movement eyes moving as I sleep through fluid acoustics, this is
Understanding where we've come from, this is
Knowing there's not much for us to run from, this is
The Warmup Section...
